The Grand Rapids Press prides itself in being the primary source for regional news in West Michigan. The Press slogan, "Be someone who gets it," challenges residents of the region to be hip and with it. They will need The Press if they want to know about anything and everything that matters throughout the area. The Press, which is one of the few large metro newspapers to still publish for afternoon delivery (five days a week), was started by George C. Booth in 1892. The paper's primary circulation area is in Kent and Ottawa Counties, but it is distributed from the Mackinac Bridge in the north to Kalamazoo in the south.
The Saginaw (Mich.) News, in its 146th year, is nationally recognized for its strategies to make the paper easy to read, accessible, surprising, manageable for the time starved, full of readers' voices, neighborly, helpful and changing all the time.
