The Flint Journal

The Flint Journal has kept residents of Genesee County (just north of the metropolitan Detroit area) and beyond informed for more than 130 years. Flint, known over the years for its fur, lumber, carriages and General Motors automobiles, has also produced an award-winning newspaper. The Journal has been recognized for its coverage of breaking news, as well as its photography and design. The paper won a Pulitzer Prize for photography in 1953 and most recently was named "Newspaper of the Year'' in Michigan for 2006.
