 Susan Larson has been the book editor at The Times-Picayune since 1988; prior to that, she was a bookseller and a member of the boards of the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival and the New Orleans Gulf South Booksellers Association. A graduate of Rice University, Larson is a published author of fiction and non-fiction and a member of the National Book Critics Circle. Her 1999 book, "The Booklover's Guide to New Orleans" was published by LSU Press, and is being updated for a new edition. Earlier this year, she was recognized with a lifetime achievement award by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. |
