|
Kevin O’Brien is a native of California and a graduate of the University of Arizona, with a bachelor's degree in political science. He began his newspaper career in 1979 as a reporter for the Arizona Daily Star in Tucson. In 1984, he joined the staff of The Plain Dealer, where he has held a variety of editing positions in the metro news department. Since 1993, he has been The Plain Dealer's deputy editorial director and chief editorial writer. His weekly column reflects a western-bred conservativism that tends to generate Letters to the Editor material in liberal Cleveland. Which is all part of the fun.
